Logging & Configuration with
Web-Interface
The EVB90363WEB is a development tool for Melexis' 3D-Hall
Triaxis Sensor MLX90363. The evaluation board is based on two components:
• MLX90363 Triaxis 3D-Hall Sensor IC on a small adapter
board
• Internet-Gateway-Module WIZ107IO with web server and
a graphic frontend
for visualisation and configuration.

The WIZ107IO Internet module communicates with the MLX90363
3D Hall sensor by SPI at 3.3 Volt over an integrated voltage regulator
at an external power supply of 5V. A real-time 3D visualisation and a
high speed data logging of the x-, y-, z axes of the magnetic field are
provided by the Internet module and the web frontend. No software is
needed and any browser will do. You can easily change the network configuration
over the graphic interface e.g. DHCP to static IP. The module can be
addressed by SMB-name or IP number.
The content of the internal EEPROM of the MLX90363 can be read and configured
over the GUI, the content of the RAM e.g. for diagnosis purposes, as
well.

MLX90363 Absolut 3D Position Sensor
IC
The MLX90363 HALL position sensor is a
monolithic sensor IC featuring the Triaxis™ Hall technology. Conventional
planar Hall technology is only sensitive to the flux density applied
orthogonally to the IC
surface. The Triaxis™ Hall sensor is sensitive to the 3 components
of the flux density (Bx, By & Bz) applied to the IC using Integrated
Magneto Concentrator (IMC). The MLX90363 senses the absolute position
of a magnet moving above it. It enables the design of contactless joystick (3D)
and linear (1D) position sensors.
Intrinsic Linearity Compensation through Front-End Calibration is applied in
manufacturing process. The Hall position sensor is qualified for automotive
and industrial applications.

WIZ107IO Gateway Modul
WIZnet's WIZ107IO module combines the W7100A hardwired TCP/IP
Internet chip with a low-drop voltage regulator. An RJ45 jack with an
integrated transformer; status LEDs and two bridge rectifiers supports
the operation as a "Powered device", like Power over Ethernet (PoE).
