MLX91220/21 ICs Plug & Power

  • No application programming is required for the factory-tuned AC and DC current sensor. It is robust against external magnetic fields and is suitable, for example, for application in electric gate drives, chargers, charging columns and voltage transformers (e-mobility), household appliances, cooling and heating devices and for voltage monitoring in photovoltaic systems.

Key Features:

  • Combination of sensor element, signal conditioning & isolation in SOIC package
  • High speed sampling DC up to 300kHz bandwidth,. 2µs response time
  • Robust against external magnetic fields
  • Low ohmic losses of the integrated conductor 0.9mO SOIC-8 / 0.75mO SOIC-16
  • Rated voltage Isolation . 2.4kVRMS for SOIC-8, . 4.8kVRMS for SOIC-16

Conventional Hall current sensors

  • High speed, high accuracy current sensors to simplify module designs (e.g. automotive inverter/converter) with integrated Dual Overcurrent Detection (OCD), flexible 3.3 V/5 V supply and improved SNR.

Key Features:

  • Double overcurrent detection
  • Flexible power supply
    • 5V mode and 3.3V mode (factory selectable)
  • Selectable analog output
    • Ratiometric or fixed (Vref)
  • High speed
    • Bandwidth from DC to 400 kHz
    • 2µs response time
  • Measuring range
    • 200 to over 2000 A
  • Very low thermal drift over a wide temperature range
    • Offset deviation (< 5 mV)
    • Sensitivity drift (< 1 %)

IMC-Hall® current sensors

  • Thanks to the patented IMC (Integrated Magnetic Concentrator) technology, the IMC-Hall® sensors are sensitive to magnetic fields parallel to the chip surface. This allows the sensors to directly measure the current flowing in a bus bar or a conductor track below the housing without the need for a core.

Key Features:

  • Ground plane and decoupling capacitors for high EMC performance
  • (programmable) High-speed current sensor
  • (Programmable) Linear transfer characteristic curve
  • Measuring range
    • Smallest shielding: up to 700 A
    • Maximum shielding: up to 1400 A
  • Broadband from DC to 400 kHz
  • Short response time

The DVKs for Melexis current sensors offer engineers design systems that make their work much easier.
The hassle of creating your own design and sourcing material from different suppliers is finally over.
The DVKs allow you to explore the functional capabilities of Melexis' current sensor ICs.
The Development Kits allow you to experiment with the particular current sensor technology, validate hardware with different sensor functions and cover different current measurement ranges.

Your benefits from the development kits:

Shorten selection process

Reduce development times

Accelerate project execution

Included are 3D-printed brackets to hold the shields and cores firmly in place. You do not have to build your own holders, which saves you time and effort. The materials used in the scope of delivery are suitable for higher temperatures (170 ℃), also included are busbars that simplify assembly.
