ZETTLER DC relays for high voltage and high current applications
Switching direct current places special demands on a relay. Unlike alternating current, DC has no natural zero crossing at which an arc extinguishes by itself, so a DC relay must be designed to break the load reliably under constant voltage. The two ZETTLER series on this page address two different requirements.
Product Selection Guide DC Relays
The AZ DC110 is a DC high voltage power relay, suited to applications that switch higher voltages at moderate currents. The AZ DC105, by contrast, is a DC high current power relay rated for up to 150 A continuous current at lower voltage. Both relays use a normally open contact (form 1A). Typical fields of use for DC relays include power supplies, battery and energy storage systems and industrial controls running on DC networks.
