As charging infrastructure expands, so do the demands on the components inside chargers, wall boxes and charging posts. Relays connect the vehicle to the grid and disconnect it again, often many thousands of times over the service life of the equipment. This calls for high current capability, safe isolation and a compact PCB footprint. ZETTLER has designed the AZEV116/132 series according to common requirements for e-mobility charging equipment. The AZEV116 is a 16 A power relay, and according to the selection guide the series covers up to 32 A continuous current and 440 V AC. The 1A + 1B contact arrangement combines a normally open main contact with an auxiliary contact that can be used, for example, for feedback or monitoring functions.
