
Clamp-On Non-Intrusive Current Sensors
The CTS-CS-CXX magnetic field concentrators are designed for non-intrusive and isolated measurements of electric currents. Thanks to the clamp-on design, the contactless current sensor can be safely installed without the need to interrupt or cut the cable.
A full demonstrator assembly is also avaliable with our clamp on solution directly mounted on a PCB fully calibrated (CTS-CS-CAX).
These contactless current sensors utilize Hall-effect technology for non-intrusive measurement of the magnetic field generated by a conductor, such as a busbar or wire. The clamp-on design allows for safe installation without interrupting or cutting the cable. The field concentrator is split into two pieces that wrap around or 'clamp' onto the conductor. The bottom half can be directly soldered to a PCB using its four through-hole pins, ensuring a secure and robust connection.
